How long does it take to build a website?
A Landing site takes 1–2 weeks, and a website with features takes 2–5 weeks. The time is counted from the day we receive all your materials, and delays usually come from decisions and materials, not development.
A Landing website takes 1–2 weeks, and a custom website with features takes 2–3 weeks for Basic and 3–5 weeks for Standard. But this time is counted from the day we receive all your materials, such as your logo, photos and text. If the materials come late, your launch date moves back by the same amount.
Why is the time counted from the day materials arrive?
Building a website means filling an empty frame with your content. Without photos we can't set up the first screen, and without menu names we can't build the menu page. So how fast your materials arrive decides the launch date more than the agency's schedule does. Once you send the order form and agree to the quote, we send you a list of the materials we need.
Three common reasons for delays
- Decisions change midway. If a decision like whether to show prices or which menu to feature changes after you see the design draft, that part gets rebuilt.
- Photos arrive late. Send phone photos first and we can set up the layout and swap them in later.
- Feedback is slow. When we send a design draft, we need your reply before moving on. If you reply within a day, the schedule hardly slips.
The easiest way to finish fast
Before you fill in the order form, prepare "one sentence about what you want", "the five pages you need" and "ten photos". With these three, one meeting is enough to finish the order form, and the first design draft comes out close to what you want.
Fast materials bring your launch date forward more than a fast agency does.
