What to do in the first month after launch
Week by week, what you and your web agency should each check during the 4 weeks starting the day after your website goes live.
Pressing the launch button is the start, not the end. In the first month, search engines read your site, customers visit for the first time, and problems you didn't expect come to light. We've listed what to watch week by week during this period.
Week 1: Check registration and links
- Whether the site is registered in Naver Search Advisor and Google Search Console and the sitemap has been submitted
- Tap the call, booking and map buttons yourself on your phone to make sure they really work
- Add your website address to Naver Place and your Google Business Profile
- Change the link in your Instagram profile to your website
Week 2: Search for your shop name
Search for your shop name on Naver and Google and check that your website comes up. If it doesn't yet, send the indexing request again in Google Search Console and Naver Search Advisor. Around this time the first enquiries start coming in, so be sure to ask where people found you. Their answers tell you what to fix next month.
Week 3: Find where customers get stuck
In your visitor stats (GA4 or a traffic dashboard), look at which pages people land on and leave right away. If they leave from the price page, the prices are probably not shown clearly. If they leave from the contact page, the form may be too long or the phone number hard to see. Fixing just one thing can change next week's numbers.
Week 4: First report and next month's plan
Write impressions, clicks and enquiries on one page, and look at the three search terms that brought the most visitors. If words like "price", "booking" or "parking" appear in them, move that information closer to the first screen. Then ask AI a question about your kind of shop yourself and check once whether your shop comes up. It usually doesn't yet, but it's good to start watching how you are described from now on.
The first month is for seeing where things get stuck, not whether it went well. Small numbers are fine. As long as you are heading the right way, results build up from the second month.
