How many revisions do you get when building a website?
At ISSYMO it's 5 for Basic and 10 for Standard. Here is what "1 revision" means, and tips for getting the result you want while saving revisions.
The number of revisions is set as a number for each plan. At ISSYMO, Basic includes 5 and Standard includes 10, and if you need more you can add them with the extra revisions option. What matters more than the number is what "1 revision" means.
"1 revision" is one batch of requests sent together
Fixing one letter is not 1 revision. When you look at the design draft and send all your changes together, that batch counts as 1 revision. So rather than sending requests one by one as soon as you see something, look it over for about a day and send everything at once to save revisions. On ISSYMO's My Page you can comment directly on the design draft, which makes it easy to gather your feedback.
What doesn't count as a revision
- Typos and problems caused by our mistakes are fixed no matter how many revisions you've used.
- If something was built differently from what the order form says, that's on us too.
- On the other hand, "adding a new page that wasn't in the original order" is not a revision but an add-on purchase. We tell you the price first and go ahead after you agree.
Tips for good revision requests
- Instead of "It feels a bit…", write what to change and how, like "The text on the first screen is too big, and I'd like the photos in a warmer tone."
- If there's another site you like, send its address too. It's faster than words.
- Set priorities. Separating must-change items from nice-to-change items makes the design draft improve faster.
The revision count is a promise, not a limit. Writing down a number gives both sides a clear standard.
